Spotlight membership after six terms
Spotlight is the industry-standard casting platform that allows you to create a profile accessible by casting directors worldwide, making it easier for you or your agent to apply for professional roles in theatre, film and TV.
This platform is widely used by industry professionals to cast roles for film, television, theatre and commercials and it is the key portal for actors to find work and representation.
Spotlight allows performers to create profiles with headshots, CVs, and showreels and it helps actors by making them more visible to casting directors and industry professionals who are searching for talent. Members can access casting calls, submit themselves for roles and attend various workshops and events organised by Spotlight.
Additionally, having a Spotlight profile is often considered essential for professional credibility in the UK acting industry.
To obtain Spotlight membership, actors must meet certain criteria. Actors can gain membership by either being paid for two professional acting jobs or completing accredited training, such as with The Actor’s Lounge
After completing six terms with us, you'll automatically become a Spotlight member. The fastest path is two consecutive years, but breaks are allowed as long as you complete the six terms.
Create your own professional showreel at The Actor’s Lounge
Through our partnership with professional showreel company, One Foot in the Door, when you enrol in the Level 3 Filming curriculum or Level 4 you will have the opportunity to create your own showreel delivered by industry professionals, One Foot in the Door.
Participation is entirely optional and will not affect class experience or outcomes for those who choose not to take part.

What’s included?
You will have the opportunity to film up to three high-quality scenes per term with rehearsal support in class from your The Actor’s Lounge tutor.
Scenes are professionally shot and edited, giving you a polished piece for your showreel.
Filming will take place locally to you.
This is a fantastic chance to gain on-set experience, build material for your reel, and collaborate with both your peers and a professional crew.
Getting an agent
While securing representation is never guaranteed, our courses provide you with the essential knowledge, skills, and tools to best prepare you for success in the industry and help you pursue an agent.
Exclusive Partnership with AKP Management Agency:
The Actor’s Lounge has partnered with AKP Management Agency, a dynamic talent agency specialising in emerging and established artists in the TV, film and stage.
From time to time, we host workshops led by AKP Management, giving students valuable insights and advice on how to break into and thrive in the industry.
As the agency looks to expand its roster, some of our Level 3 students have the opportunity to audition for them and some have already been successful.
AKP Management Agency represents artists who have worked with major companies like Warner Bros, Sony, HBO Max, Amazon and the BBC, offering comprehensive support and guidance in their careers.

The classes accommodate everybody in a highly supportive environment. You're introduced to all sorts of methodologies and techniques. Although not as intensive as full time drama courses, the Actors Lounge still provides extensive opportunities to learn and improve as well as being one of the only, if not THE only part time course that gives you Spotlight accreditation.
